Ms. Alia has been an integral part of the Al-Manar Modern School since 2018, bringing with her a passion for teaching and a wealth of experience in education. She holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics with a specialization in teaching.  She has dedicated her career to creating inclusive, respectful, and nurturing learning environments that foster student engagement and growth.

Ms. Alia’s teaching philosophy centers around her role as both a mentor and a guide. She believes in empowering students by providing them with the tools and resources they need to succeed. Whether working with pre-school, school aged or college-level students, she tailors her approach to meet their unique needs. Her experience spans from one-on-one tutoring in both English- reading/writing, Quran and Islamic Studies to classroom instruction. Additionally, she is skilled in both digital and print teaching methods.

Currently, Ms. Alia teaches English at the college level.  She incorporates various instructional strategies, to ensure that all students have access to an engaging, multi-modal educational experience. She excels at curriculum design and assessment, always striving to create lessons that are thoughtful, interactive, challenging, and supportive of her students’ individual learning paths.  As a multilingual educator, she is proficient in Dari/Farsi, Urdu, and has basic skills in Arabic, Pashto, and Spanish. In addition to her classroom work, Ms. Alia is committed to guiding her students to available resources, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals. Ms. Alia’s passion for education, combined with her expertise and personalized approach, continues to have a lasting impact on her students and the Al-Manar school community.
